Pixel 2 some apps not shutting off screen

Hi All -

I am finding a few apps that if I use and leave the phone alone it won't turn the screen off.

Example - Arlo wireless cameras - If I use the app and leave the app open and sit the phone down, the screen will not turn off within the minute I have set in display settings. Any ideas? App bugs?

So, what other apps is this happening with?

My first guess would be that either the app has a setting which permits it to override the device timeout or it is simply an app bug.

Not surprised that you might be having an issue with the Arlo app because, in my experience, all such apps are poorly designed, buggy, and rarely updated.

But I am curious about what other apps you may be having problems with.

iFunny, Yahoo Sports to name a couple. No physical settings for overriding the time out settings that i can find.
