I just got my new Pixel 2 XL about a week ago, and so far love the phone. Big upgrade from my Samsung S7 imo.
I have two main problems with the phone though:
It's a tad big for my hands, I find it difficult to swipe text one handed. This isn't a huge problem, but while multi tasking this can at times make it more difficult to use than my old phone.
My main issue though is that I am already seeing the reported burn in effect. When viewing a grey background full screen, I can see a faint shadow of the navigation bar and buttons. I was really hoping the reports were isolated incidents, because otherwise I don't have have a big problem with the screen. Yes, it blue shifts at an angle, but I don't look at my phone at an angle. But burn in this early really concerns me for long term use of the phone.
Ultimately, I'm considering swapping it out for a regular Pixel 2 while I'm still in the return period. My big question for those that have used both though is how does the P2 battery compare to the P2XL? The battery in this thing has really blown me away. I frequently get through a full day of pretty decent use with 40-50% battery left. And even days where I use it heavily, I never come close to having to charge in the middle of the day. How much different is the P2 battery performance?
