Pixel 2 Warping Issue

Any chance that your case (or the effort of getting it in/out of the case) is the cause of the problem?

Anything's possible but I doubt that. Even if it was tight you would have to remove it incorrectly for that to happen.

I don't think so either. It's not as flexible as the Diztornic cases I've used on previous phones, but it's still pretty easy to insert and remove. Like Mike said, he's dropped his phone a couple times (as have most people,) and no one else seems to have ran into this issue. Just concerns me in the long run, even if I start to get used to it now.

That is so bizarre but I did get two replacement lemons. They had different issues than yours and from each other. If I were you, I'd just get the replacement over with. I'd leave out the couple of drops.

I've put mine in my back pocket a few times but I do try not to bc I don't want to risk bending it. I just took mine out of the case and checked it. No wobbles.

I just noticed my Pixel 2 XL is warped and found this thread while searching for the issue. I have had a Caseology case on it since I received it 2 weeks ago, have never dropped it, and rarely sit down with it in my back pocket. I noticed it didn't sit flat this morning when I laid it on the table, so I examined it closely and discovered it was warped. I bent it back into place very easily - which bothers me. I suspect the way the back is designed in two pieces allows more flexibility. I love this phone, but this combined with rattling speakers is making me question build quality.

It's not actually two pieces. The glass portion is an inlay. Most of these newer phones are very thin and I would be very careful and not put it in my back pocket.

Here is a very late update I thought I'd share since I have traded my Pixel 2 in for a 3a. This same exact issue happened on the 3rd device I received shortly after purchase. There were all brand new phones. I figured I would just have to deal with it. I was extra careful about putting it in and out of my case (Spigen Tough Armor.)

About 3 months ago, I exchanged that 3rd device for a 4th under warranty for a different issue. This 4th united was apparently a refurb but looked brand new. I decided to put the case on and take off from a different corner of the phone, just in case. It seemed to stay straight for a few weeks, but eventually the warp returned and go worse over time. Super annoying but I was used to it by that point. I have traded it in for the 3a and will post about the new device over in the 3a forums. Hope everyone's Pixel 2 is holding up for them better than mine had!
