Pixel 2 XL and Android Auto....are you kidding me

Same story. I am using Pixel 2XL with kenwood ddx9904s HU. I also tried on Huynhdai Sonata 2018 which got the issue too.

I have the DDX9904s as well and have not had any issues with AA. I do get a warning message about USB when I plug it in but it doesn't not seem to have any impact. The only issue I have seen is inconsistent bluetooth connectivity but I had the same issue with the Pixel XL2 and my Pioneer HU

Quite a few known Pixel issues, most notably with Pixel 2 XL. Mine is woefully inconsistent with a Chevy Bolt (2018). I'll go days with it not having any problems, and then have morning like this morning where it wouldn't recognize the phone at all (there was an AA update to my phone last night which I'm sure was the culprit, a reboot did not solve).

My Pixel 2 XL works great with AA on a Ultimate 2018 Sante Fe sport 2.0Turbo, I never use it tho as I prefer using the phone itself and a fast charger in the DC outlet...The USB in the radio is too slow to charge@1amp

So when I say great...It is still not as great as just the phone...It just has a bigger display.

I find it charges enough to keep the phone charged while running Maps and listening to music

TONS of problems with Android Auto and my 2017 Ford Explorer with Sync 3 as well as our 2017 Accord. It just doesn't work sometimes no matter how many times I plugged and unplug it. I reset my Pixel 2 and still issues. I love my Pixel but this is unacceptable. Do I need to go back to Samsung?

Sounds like a problem with your cord -- have to ensure it is a data/power cable and not only power.

Zero issues in my truck.

Not an issue with my cord, it is a Google Pixel cord and u have separate ones in each car and have the same problem in each car. It does work sporadically.

Odd. In my truck (2017 F150) I have zero issues with Android Auto or Carplay (Apple).
