Does anybody know when the Pixel 2 XL will be available in Canada? Bell, Rogers, and Telus are still all showing it as pre-order, and when I've checked at a couple of Rogers stores they have never had it in stock.

Are you with Rogers? I too am a Rogers customer. I haven't been to a Rogers store to check, but I often check their website. They do seem to have options to buy the smaller Pixel 2; but not the XL. It still says, "preorder." But you could call your local Rogers store and ask! You'd think they would want to start selling it soon.
As I stated in my note, I have checked a couple of Rogers stores, and they only have a display model, but no retail stock.

My text from Rogers says that it will arrive as early as November 15 along with my Google Home Mini. Hopefully it arrives on that day since I pre-ordered it so long ago at this point.
Getting ansy with all of these reviews from other people and the fact that people are able to walk into Apple stores here in Canada and walking out with iPhone Xs while we're still waiting for our 2 XLs.

Well I got my email from Rogers yesterday (Nov. 14th) saying that my order has been shipped with my tracking number. Hopefully I get it today.
I received an e-mail from Rogers on the weekend saying it had been shipped to my local Rogers store. Hopefully it arrives soon so I can pick it up on Friday when I'm back in town.

I just want to say ... I feel bad for you guys in Canada in terms of wireless plan pricing / data caps. I was talking on Reddit and someone mentioned something about it. I went to rogers and looked .. whew! Ouch D:
Yea basically we have 3 major carriers and they all basically collude to have the same high prices. We have the worst rates of any developed country.
Not that bad if you live in special province cough Quebec , Manitoba and others apart from Ontario. Plus byod plan are cheap in the long run, just buy it outright that's what I do.

Our plans suck, however it's easier to get a Pixel in Canada than in the US. Availability isn't as scarce and things like certain colours being carrier exclusive doesn't happen here. The Kinda blue is available straight from Google, and the carriers.

I ordered mine through Verizon @ 5:30 PM and had it next day @ 9:00 AM at my work. No real issue getting it

I was under the impression that you had to be a Verizon customer to get the Kinda Blue in the US.
Is it still available? The Kinda Blue is back in stock on the Google Canada store.

Shows out of stock at the moment on the US one.
And yep -- really -- Verizon did a deal for spectrum awhile back and part of their agreement was all their 4G LTE phones have to be unlocked right out of the box. They can be used on whatever network.

Ah I see, yeah I knew the phones were unlocked, but I was under the impression that Verizon wouldn't sell you the phone unless you had a subscription with them.

That is correct but if you buy from Google -- Verizon has no say-so. Only if you try and buy the Kinda Blue from a Verizon store will they deny you if you aren't a Verizon customer.
That isn't exclusive to Verizon -- Carriers in the US will only sell to their customers not random people on other networks.
