A few comments: I am liking the Oreo look for Android O and the orange button is an interesting touch.

The price is a bit more than last year. It's nice that it starts at 64gb instead of 32 but it's only $20 cheaper than last years' 128gb model.

A lot of comments on Droid Life are calling the Oreo one ugly. Personally, it looks kinda nice to me. It's just something different. I'm glad they bumped up to 64gb minimum.

I like the pricing, it's close to what I expected for the XL and the little one is even cheaper, starting at $649. I thought it was going to be $799 base for the XL and $699 base for the little one, so I'm $50 light on the XL and $50 heavy on the little one. Either way, who cares about $50?

Anxious to see the Kinda Blue in person. Black is out, white is in if the Kinda Blue is Kinda Sucky.

$50 here....$50 there....I don't care....$649 is what I paid for the 32GB Pixel last year.

ETA - the white/black XL is real nice .

I kinda like it too. I liked the Ice Blue Nexus 5x and this is similar but more blue than green. I loved the Really Blue last year though. Wish they'd do the XL again in that color.

Kinda Cool is better than Kinda Sucky - I'll take your word for it - colors aren't my strong suit - so if I get the Kinda Blue and it turns out to be Kinda Sucky it is your fault Laura....yes it is -

Ruddock over at AP tweeted that there's some discussion in Google about the price. Reportedly, they thought the price of the iPhone 8 plus was going to be higher so you might end up being right about the $799 price. But yeah, at that point $50 is nothing. That's not gonna make me change my mind about whether I'd get a phone or not.

I planned on getting another Really Blue, but nope, Kinda Blue it is. Can hardly wait for Pixel 3 when we get "Might B Blue". Oh well the extra 32GB of storage makes up for it.

If you're used to getting your kicks from subtlety and nuance maybe. That's easily the most undemonstrative shade of blue I've ever seen. It's like a stone's throw away from grayscale.

I think it is - look real close at the top of the phone and it looks like the back is just on the back.
