I mentioned this in another thread, but it seems appropriate to repost here: I purchased this Satechi multi-port wall charger from Amazon, which provides both a USB-C PD rapid charge port that works effectively for my Pixel 2 XL and a Qualcomm Quick Charge port that works fine for my wife's Moto X Pure Edition, as well as two standard USB-A ports for charging other devices.

I've been using these for less than a month, but so far we're very satisfied with both products.

So I wanted to share what I ended up buying.

Bought this Meagoes car charger that came with one USB-C to USB-C and one USB-A to USB-C cables

plus I bought this iClever wall charger adapter:

I use USB-C to USB-C cable with the Meagoes car charger and use USB-A to USB-C cable with the iClever wall charger. BOTH combinations give me Rapid charging just like the Google's OEM charger that came with my Pixel 2 XL. I am a happy man

NOTE: Earlier before starting this thread, I bought a different USB-A to USB-C cable, I tried that with the iClever wall charger and it charges slow, shows "Charging" only on lock screen, not "Charging Rapidly". But the Meagoes USB-A to USB-C cable does charge faster. Therefore, not just the charger adaper alone but the cable also matter to achieve rapid charging.

use USB-A to USB-C cable with the iClever wall charger.

I don't believe this should give you "charging rapidly". I believe only a full USB-C chain can provide the charge rate needed for this indication. What you have is a cable that is not built correctly and "tricks" the device into trying to draw more current than the charger can provide (which is dangerous).

The 2.4A rating on the ports is for Qualcomm QC devices, which the Pixel 2 XL is not. Max output is then 2A I believe, which is below the "charging rapidly" point on USB-C.
