Pixel 2 XL Tempered Glass Screen Protector?

Update on the screen protector and case, as I managed to close car trunk on my phone today. The screen protector was shattered but my screen was not damaged. I believe the case and the screen protector saved me from having to tell you wife I broke my phone in the first 5 days.

The screen protector protects mostly from scratches. There may be occasional save here and there but in most cases it won't prevent screen breakage.

Eh I disagree. If you wanted only scratch protection you'd get a film protector.

Tempered glass allows some of the impact to be soaked up by the protector instead of solely the screen. That's why you buy it.

Film protectors don't offer a positive screen touch experience.

That'll do...thanks for posting this!

I ended up ordering the Biuzko tempered glass screen protector this morning. Seems to have good early reviews so far, and it's cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6053884 My Pixel 2 XL is not arriving until early next week, so it'll buy me some time until this arrives.

If it doesn't work, then I'll bite the bullet and get the expensive Verizon version. Ever since I installed a tempered glass screen protector for my Nexus 6P, that's the only kind of coverage I get for all my devices, including smartwatches/sport watches.

Those look like fake reviews if I've ever seen em.

All posted within a couple days and mention the exact same things about including everything needed in the package and easy installation.

They are ALL 5 stars. In my years on this planet, there's always someone that complains...

I have to agree....mostly one sentence reviews....Doesn't mean its not good.

Oh for sure. Just buyer beware.

I went through this with my OnePlus 3 trying to find a good glass protector, and there still aren't any GREAT ones out there because of the slightly curved edges.

My hopes are not high, which is a shame because I love having a glass screen protector.

The ones designed for complete protection have adhesive around the edges.

Update for the Tech Armor:

I Wouldn't recommend it. I expected to not cover the rounded black edges, but it doesn't ever cover all of the lit portion of the screen. looks goofy and will probably trap more dust between my case and protector.

Man, that stinks to read. I might to have to just suck it up and pay a boat load for a Zagg from Best Buy

*sigh* you're right. Cancelling it.

I have grown to hate the protectors with dot matrix with black edges
They don't stay on
They end up falling off with my pixel 2 xl

I have a thread in accessories, but I’m really hoping intelliarmor does me right again. I preordered a intelliglass pro. Worked great on my first gen XL. I don’t mind waiting for the well known companies, or paying a bit more. I feel it means they actually fully tested their protectors. Seems most of the ones on amazon right now are just thrown out there and are not very good.

I'm going to go with a Spigen that doesn't give full coverage like those junk curved units. I have one on my 1 XL and it covers the powered section of the screen without any bubbles, halos, bits of dust working their way in or constant threats of it popping off. I hope their 2 XL version works as well.

I don't see a 2xl version yet.

Here is a front and back so you can see the case and the screen protector.
I am happy with the case for being pretty slim while having good protection.
I will likely buy another case in the next few months as new ones come available.
This isn't due to anything wrong with the case but instead the amount of dust that
collects around and under cases. Instead of feeling like I am showing off my phones
2 tone display all I notice is the dust that collects on and under the clear case.

Hopefully the coverage on the tempered glass is easy to see but the glare and reflection from the ceiling lights was pretty bad.

That's not the Verizon branded one, is that the Zagg or a different brand? I have the Verizon one, and it doesn't look anything like yours.
