Pixel 2XL front facing portrait mode compared to the Note 9's version...

Are there any Pixel 2XL owners who can speak on the quality of the front facing portrait mode on the Note 9 compared to that pixel 2XL?

I was just about to compare it to the one in the store, but it won't turn on.... based on other cameras out there I believe the pixel does front camera portrait better.
