Pixel 2xl screen delay since Android Pie

[Android Central Question]

Ever scince I got the update to Android Pie. I have had major screen startup delays when using fingerprint unlock. Anyone else having this issue?

I've noticed a very slight delay between touching the FPS and the screen coming on (perhaps half-a-second?) but certainly nothing I would qualify as a 'major delay'. I'm not sure what you're experiencing but perhaps booting into Safe mode and noting if the problem still occurs would shed some light on it.

I had it before with last 8.1 update but not with Pie anymore...

I have noticed the delay as well. It was much faster before the update. I actually really like the update, but this is a minor annoyance.

Fingerprint unlock has always been instantaneous with my Pixel 2 XL 128.

Me too Android p fixed the lag i previously had. Right now the finger print seems to unlock just about as quickly as when the phone first came out.
