Pixel 3 Android 10: Download Speed <1Mbps

Just got the new Android 10 push and was chatting with buddy comparing to his 5g Note 10 and we both ran speed tests and im getting <1Mbps...

I tested this on the Ookla speed test app and also on fast.com (netflix owned.)

Anyone else have this issue? To note, I am on an unlocked Pixel 3 that i bought from the Google store on the Verizon network.

Welcome to Android Central! It's unlikely to be related to 10. You're both on Verizon? What was your signal strength like?

On WiFi or mobile data? If mobile data, bring the phone into a Verizon company store.

If WiFi, make sure the router is using AES encryption, not TKIP or TKIP+AES. (Many Android phones have problems with TKIP.)

If none of the above work, go to Settings and search for feedback. Let Google know. (That's the only way it's going to get fixed.)

Also check the build number - it should be 191107-020. If you got 191107-19, there may have been a problem with WiFi (I've never seen Google release 2 updates on the same date before except for the 3a and 3aXL).

Installed Android 10 couple of hours back and ran the test on Verizon just now using speed test app (unlocked 3 XL from Google store). No network issues here.

Check to see if you can play a YouTube or other video normally.....if you can then you didn't get the right information from the speed test. Your speed test sounds a little bit suspect.
