Any idea who it might be interested mostly on the XL because I'm pissed at LG that's why I never bought the 2 XL.

I thought it was gonna be a legitimate Google venture now that HTC lost well over a thousand workers.

Google will not ever manuacture the phones themselves. They will contract out to someone that knows how.

technically they meaning Google maybe manufacturing the phone since they did do deal where they bought / hired 2000 of HTC's Hardware division employees who were sponsored to come over and work at the Google headquarters. and which Google can be using HTC's manufacturing plants I believe and think that both the pixel 3 and pixel 3 XL will be both HTC to making them.

I too thought that HTC was going to be manufacturing the next Pixel iteration.

More than likely it will be HTC or LG. I just hope if Google uses an LG OLED screen again, LG has stepped it up a bit to compete. While I have no issues with my screen, other do.

It that's the case I'll pull the trigger for Pixel XL 3 then.

Phones by Nokia, Motorola, Huawei, and Apple's iPhone are all made in Taiwan by Foxconn. These companies don't build their own phones either, they design them and contract them to be built by another company, the same as Google does.

I think Samsung is also built at Foxconn and yes all those companies just design and build prototypes to see how the phone would work and feel.

It depends.

We've been told HTC has a three-year deal to manufacture for Google. This would be year 3.

It's not exclusive as we saw LG get the Pixel 2 XL while HTC did the Pixel 2.

Google acquiring a bunch of HTC engineers probably doesn't do much in terms of manufacturing.
