I was going to stick with my p2 but now I think I'll upgrade. I'm going to wait til Black Friday though bc I was pissed when I bought this one at launch and a couple months later they offered $100 in Google store credit on BF.
Anyone else doing the same thing?

sticking with the 2XL for at least this year. maybe I'll be more tempted next year but having three years of guaranteed os and security updates makes it easier to stay put.

Yup sticking with the 2XL also. This will be the first year I've actually held back getting a new Google device. That 3XL design is just hideous. Hopefully they get it right next year.

Totally understand that. I have the regular p2. I wanted to get the p3xl but I can't deal with that notch. I'll go with the regular p3.

Well, I take this back...slightly...I might just pull the trigger on the 5.5 Pixel 3. Might be a nice change to have a smaller device handy.

$150 price increase from the P2 to the P3? Not for me. My P2 is still rockin' along just fine.

I'm not a fan of the glass back either, wireless charge is not something I care about. Just not enough to entice me but the price is the number one turnoff. Would be different if I needed a new phone of course. Maybe next year for me.

Watched the whole event. Really liked what I saw on the Pixel 3 and was all excited. Had it in the cart with preferred care before tax it was $930.

I took a deep breath, looked at my Pixel 2 and just couldn't justify it. Even with the $300 trade in I'm still looking at $630 and my pixel 2 is not quite 8 months old and working fine. I'd love the bigger better screen and improved camera but it's just not enough of a jump to justify $630, that's what I paid for this one!

I could get a Note 9 for the same price, and while I'm not a fan of all the extras, it offers a hell of a lot more for the money.

My 2xl is almost a year old and it's been the best phone I've ever had. That being said, before the year is out I will definitely be getting a 3xl. I have no problem with the notch.

Pixel 3 XL maybe early next year. Most of what I'm excited about are the camera improvements, some/many of which will come to the 2XL.

I think people will get used to the notch quickly. I hated it at first but now I am used to it, and in-hand I dare say I would have no issue.

Same here. Had the pre order in my cart, $970 after tax and shipping, I couldn't justify spending it. It's a slightly bigger screen, slightly better camera, same ram/battery, better SOC, and the selfie camera thing up front. Most of what they announced, top shot, night shot, call screening, are coming to other pixels via software updates in the future. My pixel 2 is chugging along fine, so I can't really see spending the money on upgrading.

I don't think I'm buying one, though my mom is in need of a new device. I'm contemplating adding a member to my Fi plan, getting 2 Pixel 3's and getting the $800 Fi bill credit. I can cancel the second line after a month but it seems both devices need to be active for that month - my mom needs a phone sooner than that.

I agree ..
Did you buy the pix 3?
Nope. Sticking to my P2XL and treated myself to pixel buds usb c for £30 and am getting the Home Hub as a Birthday/Xmas present from my hubby. Already pre-ordered it. I love the look of the hub. P4 will be my next upgrade in a year's time.

Paid $250 brand new for my Pixel 2 from Wal-Mart...will wait for a similar deal for Pixel 3...

Ordering 5.5" Pixel 3...and a Google Home Hub...I was hoping for a new Pixelbook with fingerprint sensor and smaller Bezels...The Slate is more a tablet. I like laptops with good solid hinges. The weight with keyboard (2.7Lbs) is just way to heavy.
