Pixel 3 whose switching?

I think it's funny that people think you need more than 4GB of RAM. Pixel 2 XL was fine with that. You only need extra when you cram so much stuff into a phone like Samsung. The Pixel 3 XL will be fine with 4GB's.
Don't forget that with a phone that has only 4GB ram, .5GB is reserved for the GPU so the phone in reality only has 3.5GB ram to work with.

Spills the beans...who is switching ? I'm seriously tempted to get one so I can enjoy the benefits of software updates.

The home hub and the slate look very promising though.

I can't imagine choosing the pixel phone over the note 9. I'll definitely be ordering a Google home hub!

How many people actually use the telephoto lens on the note 9 ? I'm always wanting that extra wide most of the time. That camera software on the pixels is killer though.

I use it all the time.

I went with the Note 9 because I was waiting for the Pixel 3, and once I heard the specs and saw how ugly it was I immediately jumped to the Note. Both Pixels are horrible looking, the smaller one looks like a phone from 2013 with those bezels.

I mean seriously the Pixel 3 XL has:

Slower processor (look its clocked slower than other 845)
Huge notch so screen is actually smaller (usable) than listed
Small battery
No sd card slot
No headphone jack
Less RAM (this will matter in the next year or two)
No 4k 60fps like competitors

Having day 1 software updates was important 3+ years ago when Android was still trying not to be crap but currently the last few builds of Android have been great so there has been no pressing need to have a day 1 software update.

You forgot the absence of the s-pen and Samsung Pay as well.

Where did you see about the 845 being clocked lower?

Now a surprise.......the notch can be hidden through developer options. Leave it to Google to have an ace up their sleve!

Not the first phone to make it hideable... but then you're still left with bezels comparable to a phone from 3 years ago.

True, not going to give up the note 9, just gonna buy one of the pixels to play with! Which everyone wins my heart will get my main number!

There is no phone on the market to make me give up the note 9 . If there is it better equal and exceed what the note brings to the table it's in it own league, but I'll update my pixel 2xl to the 3xl

Google, we said we want a top notch front camera, not a front camera in a gigantic top notch!

Yeah. It would be a tough choice between my lovely S Pen and the offer of speedy updates of no proven benefit. I stand to be corrected. I chose the Note 9 every time-even in my worst nightmare.

Coming from the Pixel 2, I don't miss the updates at all

Using a Pixel 2 at the moment. Its been almost 8 months and while I thought I wanted updates, I'm kind of getting there to where I don't want them as frequently. Every month it seems there is some bug introduced, something gets broken, people losing connection to bluetooth devices and cannot get them to pair again. I'm leaning towards going back to Samsung as it seems they have more stable builds due to the longer times between updates. This is something I often took for granted in years past when I had samsung devices and wanted updates. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

The price killed any desire to upgrade to the Pixel 3. I love, absolutely love my camera though. However, I'm kind of tired of my small screen and huge top and bottom bezels. That all said, I can get a Note 9 cheaper than I can the small P3 right now.

Do it , you won't regret that move and cheaper ? Jump on it

The 6GB/128GB on T-MOBILE's site is $870 right now. I'm very tempted.

I've always hated typing on this thing. I still struggle with it. I think the bezels throw me off.
