Anyone else with a 3 XL noticing significantly worse battery life over the past few weeks? I can't pinpoint when it started, but whereas the battery used to end up with about 40-50% battery at the end of a call day in the hospital (phone off charger from 7 AM to about 10:30 PM), lately it's been getting down to 20-30%. No obvious apps causing excessive drain. Cell signal in the hospital has improved, if anything, although wi-fi is and always has been fairly crappy (no change there). I tried turning off wi-fi and relying on mobile data, without much change.

If this is a relatively common finding, then maybe it could be related to a recent system update. But if it's just me, then maybe my battery turned a corner and is starting to go downhill -- it turned 2 years old yesterday. I'm trying to hold out until the Pixel 6, but who knows, maybe I'll spring for a 5 or a 4a 5G to tide me over if this starts to get more annoying.

If you don't see anything out the ordinary I'm going assume either latest update or battery degradation

Yeah, if most people aren't seeing this, then I'll assume it's the battery. I guess I could install Accubattery and run the battery health test.

Yeah definitely , if you don't hear back from other users also see the next update how it is .

Add me to your observations. I noticed a degradation in battery strength when I boot up each AM, and I attributed it to normal battery degradation since my Pixel 3 turned 2 years old in December. But I've also noticed an unusual deterioration during the day. Just yesterday, I went looking at my App notifications to see if I inadvertently turned on them on. I hadn't so I assumed, as you did, that age of the battery was the culprit. I'll wait to see if more users of the Pixel 3 family, is experiencing the same problem.

I noticed that my post was placed at the bottom of all of the posts to this thread. Hopefully, this gets posted on top.

Why would it get posted to the top ? It gets posted by time they come in .

I always thought that when I logged in to the Chose a post to reply to, it would show the last post received. When I logged back in after my post, the very first post several days ago displayed. I assumed that anyone logging in would see the latest post. I've been using this group for many years now and that was the way it behaved. I just tested it again and it's back to the way it was.

I installed Accubattery and checked the battery health -- currently at 91%, so that might explain some of it. 91% isn't terrible, but I think 85% is when it can really become bothersome, so I'm closer to 85% than 100%.

The biggest battery user is Voalte, which is the not-so-good secure messaging app I have to use in the hospital, so I'll try to compare the battery life in the next few days that I have off after this current block of work.
