I successfully registered 5 prints when phone was new, out of the box. Had no problem during registration, and those fingers were regularly read/recognized without problem.
However, this week, when trying to register a different finger, I kept getting the dirty sensor message. (Previously registered prints continued to be recognized without problem).
I cleaned the reader multiple times, but am still unable to register one particular finger. Of note, that finger was previously registered easily when phone was new.
If I am persistent (20 tries) I may be able to register a print. I have a feeling that the orientation of the finger may affect the sensor's results.
Anybody else encountered this problem? Insights?
