Pixel 3 XL to Pixel 4XL Home Screen Also Transferred!

I just picked up my P4XL from Best Buy and brought it to work so I can start the set up.

I connected both the P4XL and P3XL when I prompted to.

The process asked me what items I wanted to transfer and the only thing I unchecked was pictures.I'll back up my pictures later on.

After everything was complete, I was surprised that even my Home Screen set up was transferred. All the apps I had on my P3XL were all grayed out on the P4XL because I assume it has to download those apps again. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see my old Home Screen and I don't have to set it all up again from scratch.

So for now, I'm allowing the P4XL do all the app installs and any updates it needs while I'm on my work's WiFi signal. All should be complete by the time I head home tonight.

My Urban Armor Gear case should arrive tomorrow.

Cant wait to use it full-time!!

That's how it was from the 2xl to the 3xl, as well - smooth, easy, and complete. Only thing you'll probably have to do is log back in on some apps.

I normally just backup everything on the cloud and then download it on my new phone. I decided to try the transfer feature last night. I love it! I am a creature of habit. I hate getting new phones due to having to set everything back up how I had it. Now I have a new phone that feels new but looks like home.
