Pixel 4 Microphone (Cancelling?)

Question,

On many calls, I have friends complain I’n cutting in and out. I’m usually out for a walk (wind), sitting in a Starbucks (music), and we both are assuming the microphone is doing some type of noise canceling. I couldn’t find any adjustments inside settings.

Thoughts?

In the two examples, the wind isn’t bad and the music isn’t loud..... thanks in advance

Try it in a quiet environment. If it doesn't happen, it's overly-aggressive noise-canceling, and there's not much you can do about that. It's baked into the system.

If it still happens in a quiet environment, something is intermittent in the phone. Try speakerphone (it uses a different mic) or an earphone (wired or Bluetooth - or both) - try lo localize the problem. Then when you go to get it repaired, you've already done the hard part, so all the shop has to do is replace something, not spend an hour trying to duplicate the problem.

Are you using Bluetooth or headphones? Which carrier ?
