pixel 4 or the iphone 11

Because obviously software quality/experience doesn't count when calculating value for money.

There is always a debate...and the iPhone 11 doesn't outspec the P4 in a couple of areas.

For example, it doesn't have a 90hz FHD OLED display, instead opting for a 830p LCD. That's not very good display wise considering the price.

Not to mention Android Vs iOS.

Android vs iOS is totally subjective. Outspec doesn’t mean you have everything the other phone has and then some, it means you have more than the other phone overall. At $699 the iPhone 11 is the better buy. At $749 the 128gb iPhone 11 is a better buy than the 64gig $799 pixel 4. It is what it is.

I usually don't try to pick a phone to match specs of other phones , I look into it and see what it offers and make my judgement by that . Pretty much can't go wrong with any of these phones today even if one has better specs then the others , it will still get the job done regardless.

It will get the job done but I don’t think you’d be happy to pay $1000 for a phone that has 1000mah battery even though it’s capable to do what the others can. And nice to see you here, you’re everywhere lol

I'm not happy to spend 1000.00 on any phone , I'll look for trade in or deals to bring it down .
seems like it , I'm everywhere

I may have to pass on this phone. Recent reviews say the battery life in pixel 4 is quite bad. This is a deal breaker for me particularly after getting g used to the amazing iphone 11 pro for the last month or so

Has anyone switched to pixe 4 from 11 pro?

I’ve been recommending you to go for the iPhone 11, this phone is one of the disappointments of 2019. It’s not terrible but look how the battery life is.

Android vs iOS is subjective. It depends on the user. But what I was saying is that there are key areas such as display quality where they Pixel 4 trumps the iPhone 11.

It’s not black and white.

Of course but we know that already. Like the iPhone 11 having superior battery life, not even close.

Considering Pixel 4 release date isn't for another 3 days I'd say nobody has one in-hand yet. Not anyone other than a publication or website willing to talk about it anyway...

I have a OnePlus 6T, I'v been between iOS and Android phones switching between the two. I'm debating on getting the pixel 4 or the iPhone 11.

I know they haven't officially announced the pixel 4, but honestly which one would you say is the better option putting bais aside.
This thread got long so I may have missed it. Have you decided?

So having seen lots of camera comparison videos between the P4 and the iPhone 11 Pro, at least 1 thing seems clear to me: The iPhone cameras are close enough now such that the Camera may no longer be a deciding factor between the 2. While the consensus on all of the (20+) comparison videos I watched was that the VIDEO from the iPhone is far better, the conclusions from the PHOTOS between the 2 were always so close that it really comes down to personal preference most times.

Having just bought my first iPhone (god help me), I do happen to agree with the reviews based on the result of my own photos with the 11 Pro Max so far. They are really good, but more to the point: They are close enough to Pixel results that it is no longer a deciding factor. That is a big deal IMO, since the Pixels have had a clear advantage for 3 or 4 years now.

Still when all is said and done, I wouldn't be surprised the Pixels will turn out to have superior photo capabilities this year. But it's close enough now that Google needs to step up other areas big time, since they can no longer point to the camera as an unequivocal advantage.

Using both and the user experience as a whole the Pixel 4/XL is hands down a better package when you consider what your getting for the money. IPhone Pro Max definitely has the best battery life of any smartphone I've used to date but that's about it. Camera wise they are both great.

Even compared to the regular iPhone 11 I'd spend the extra $100 for the Pixel 4. Yeah there's no wide angle but everything else as a whole definitely makes it worth it. It's all about the user experience and what the customer wants out of their smartphone. There are so many great devices to choose from.

I’d rather have the 4 XL than the iPhone 11. More because of the display and software (as well as camera) than anything else.

Lol everything depends on the user

FaceID on the iPhones actually works with all apps. Face unlock on the Pixel 4 is only supported by a handful of apps. I don't understand how the user experience is a better package on the Pixel 4 when you have to type in PIN/password on banking and credit card apps because they're not supported by the face unlock.

My password manager handles all the apps. But it won't be too long before apps support the new face unlock. The way iOS handles notifications, files and system sounds is not ideal for my use case.
