Pixel 4a 5G Root

I probably know the answer but is anyone planning on rooting their phone?

I took the plunge..

Nothing much yet except for smaller status bar.. Center clock.. Color on tiles.. Removed battery icon

Haha and how do you like it with root? Which customizations have you done? Wasn't thinking of doing that to my 5 though.

It's still early most don't have the phone....I just did a few mods to status bar which I found on the Pixel 5 area ...I'd like to run a custom ROM down the road

I'm pretty darn sure that at this point, rooting any pixel 4A 5G, or Pixel 5 would break GPAY, at least for the meantime unfortunately...

I don't use Gpay but from checking the Magisk threads I see some are successful with adding cards and passing safetynet..

Hey hey oh absolutely dude. Good luck, have fun, and keep us updated! Yeah, for me, I haven't rooted any of my phones and years as I don't need to anymore but I'm glad to hear that you did so quickly!
