Pixel 6 - Camera bar discoloration?

I just received my Pixel 6 today and notice that on the bottom left of the camera bar where it meets the edge of the device there appears to be a discoloration or slightly unfinished end (see arrow pointing in picture). I thought this was chipped or something but I see the same thing on the other side of the camera bar. It somewhat gives the impression of an unfinished product. I'm kind of OCD about these things.

Does anybody else with the 6 or 6 Pro see this on their device as well?

Can't see anything on mine. But then again mine is inside a case...

It's hard to see from the pic. Maybe if you can upload a video we might be able to see it a little bit better?

It you have the 6, check the same circled area. Follow the line of the bottom border of the camera bar down to where it meets the sides of the phone. You might see what I'm talking about. It's like the metal looks unfinished.

The camera bar looks just fine on my Pixel 6 Pro.

Now I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the paint/finish on mine. Oddly it's on both sides of the camera bar where the bottom line border meets the edges of the phone. Maybe under brighter light you can see it better. I'll try to take another picture.

How about now? Can you guys see what I am talking about? It's on both sides of the phone.
It doesn't appear right to me but if it's on both sides of the phone maybe it's normal or is this a manufacturing defect?

It appears to me that there's a small band at the top and bottom where the camera bar is joined to the body of the phone that is simply a slightly different texture and color -- like the lighter gray horizontal band on the phone body located at the midpoint of the camera bar. The reflected light tends to exaggerate the difference in tone, but it doesn't look "discolored" to me.

Yes they appear on the top as well. I am curious to know if others see it on their Pixel. Considering it's uniform I can live with it but it definitely looks unfinished.

I think this is what MKBHD referred to in his review of the Pixel 6. He did mention something about the camera bar looking odd where it meets the edges of the phone.

You can end this thread. It's actually normal and is on all devices. Even shows up on official photos of the device before it was released.
