Can anyone answer my quandary. I'm looking at a second-hand pixel 6 Pro versus a new pixel 7. Which would you choose and why?
Thanks in advance

With the trade in offer Google has now I would go new if you have a trade in.

I can tell you I came from the 6 Pro to the 7 and I have been _very_ pleased. I did not have any of the issues with the 6 Pro other than a dropped phone and cracked screen... but was looking for just a tad bit smaller phone. The 7 is just that device. I still have all of the features that I liked with the 6 Pro in a smaller package. (I assume you are asking about the 6 Pro -vs- the standard 7).

Personally, I'd go for the 7, but that's not necessarily what I'd recommend for everyone.

I don't care about the telephoto camera. In my opinion, that's what you're decision should be based on.

I am indeed looking at the 6 pro vs the normal 7.
Google don't have a trade in option in Ireland. They didn't even offer a bonus of a pixel watch out buds! And that considering their European headquarters is in Ireland! Shane on Google!
With the 6 pro I'm interested in the telephoto lens and the brighter screen. It's going to cost me about €100 to swap my phone (regular 6) to the 6 plus. But going to a regular 7 would cost me €350. I'm thinking that going for the 6 plus would make the most sense as I'll be sure an upgrade this time next year and I could go for the 8 Pro...

You've got a 6? Then I'd change my answer to neither.

You obviously don't care much about the telephoto camera, because you're considering the regular 7. And neither of them are worth upgrading to from the 6. Save yourself the money and don't bother until the 8.

I think if you're not in need of a second-generation Tensor chip, the latest camera tech, and still want a really wonderful phone, the Pixel 6 Pro would be an excellent choice! Even brand-new, the phone is much more economically friendly now!

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

I had heating and signal issues on my 6pro and upgraded to 7pro. Though it gets little warm to touch, not like 6pro and no signal dropping issues now. Really like the face unlock and telephoto camera. If you are having any of the issues I mentioned, it is worth the upgrade.

Go for 7, I have P6P and took advantage of T-Mobile deal. I am very happy with P7P, much better than P6P

Didn't go for the 6 pro in the end. Going to get a pixel 7. My pixel 6 has poor battery life and gets hot on regular occasion. I don't think I could wait for the pixel 8. But I'll most likely get the pixel 8 Pro next year
