"Tensor: Details of Google Pixel 6 series-bound custom silicon potentially revealed in new leak - NotebookCheck.net News" https://www.notebookcheck.net/Tenso...otentially-revealed-in-new-leak.560784.0.html

No way.

"thanks to two Cortex-X1 cores clocked at 2.80 GHz."

How could they fit two Cortex X1's on to the SoC? There's physically no room to put two Cortex X1's unless they're not going for a tri-cluster setup and just have 2x Cortex X1's and 4x A55's but that'd be insane as anything that requires moderate workload would engage the X1's, which would run so incredibly hot and inefficient.

I don't buy this rumour at all. The Coretex X1 sucks in the first place, having 2 of them is just madness.

Finally Google are making a true high-end Pixel. Have been disappointed with the last few Pixel phones. Felt the 2XL was probably the peak of the Pixel line then Evey Pixel flagship after it was ok overall but scuffed in some way:

Pixel 3XL: giant bathtub notch, 4gb ram limitation, tonnes of bugs, only 1 camera when competition was doing 2.

4XL: dated design, Soli was awful, only 2 cameras when competition was putting 3.

5: mid-range phone which lacked a lot of high-end features imo it wasn't a good device at all and I owned it for a little while.

I'm actually considering getting the 6 Pro assuming there isn't something Google has blundered this year and the camera is as good, if not better than previous Pixel phones.

See I think the 2XL and 4XL were the best of the lot; the 4XL cameras were belters and still are; still very hard to beat IMO

I am looking forward to this release; but I'm also very wary of what the prices are going to be...

My S21 Ultra has gone; got bored with it. Still rocking my Pixel 4XL; but thinking of selling that to go for the 4a 5G as my Three business SIM is 5G and it's good to utilise those speeds at times

I'm currently back with an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it's still a fantastic phone; but iPhones being what they are; they retain their values well, so that'll get sold if I decide to go for the Pixel 6 Pro... As log as the price is 'sensible'...

Time will tell

Based on the leaks it seems like you US customers are gonna get screwed with pricing of this phone

It's not that unreasonable that the price be relatively higher in US when you factor in that the model sold here will support mm-Wave 5G. Now, how many people will actually ever benefit from that is another story...

I still find it hard to believe that when the phone is actually released, 5G mmWave will only be available in the USA. I know I have read only in the USA however, they are releasing phones in Japan and Taiwan and both countries have 5G mmWave and I believe Canada is close if not already turned on in places.

I also wonder why they would build a brand new processor (or at least design while samsung builds) without 5G mmWave since the cost during design and inception would not be that great. But google is known to not always make sense; just like any corporation (or government). If a chip has 5g mmWave an it is not available in that country no one will ever know.:)

Ok. I live in Sweden, one of the leading telecom and network countries and it's gonna take a while even here for 5G to be "something". For me it's like "Ehh whatever, just give me better 4G and immaculate 2G"

I would agree, 4G is ok for me. However:

Is the Pixel 6 going to be released in Sweden? All I have read is NO. But I understand that might change or what I have read is incorrect.

And you guys still have 2G. Thought is was gone or at least going very quickly in most countries.

And where I live, I don't see 5G being common for a few years and mmWave; maybe never!

We need 2G in the less populated areas. Sweden is slightly bigger than California but with only 10,4million people. 5G in most of our country would be expensive and unnecessary. We have it in most cities but not a motivation for me to switch carriers.

I had a long, detailed and informative text to reply to you but it kept being blocked as spam because I brought up data prices. That’s unfortunate

Did not realize you still had 2G running in Sweden. I totally agree with 5G not being a big thing; same with me. My feeling is that 5G mmWave could be competition to wired internet; if an when it gets up and running with enough towers to supply efficient coverage.
