Pixel 6 vs 6a - thoughts?

Sorry if this has been asked before; I've had a search but not really found what I'm after

My wife's birthday in a few weeks & I want to get her a new phone as her Redmi Note 9 Pro is starting to get crap and takes even crappier pictures haha

She's not a heavy user at all (FB, Insta, WhatsApp and photos) and that's about it... So no need for the Pro or Pixel 7 etc...

I can get the 6a for £280 here in the UK and the 6 for c£380... Is the extra £100 cost worth it for someone who uses their phone like mentioned above?

Even if she's not a power user, she will probably appreciate the Pixel 6's generally smoother performance, thanks to more RAM and a 90 Hz screen. Cameras should also be better. If it's not a big dent in your budget, I'd go for the 6.

Cheers - they're my thoughts too. Both seem to be very good phones and both will be a massive improvement over her Redmi Note 9 thingymebob
