PIxel 7 Pro: using a different browser to open Google Feed's links

Hi,

I got the Pixel 7 Pro, and I installed Opera as I prefer it over Chrome.
Is there a way to force the Pixel to open the links from the Google Feed with Opera? It still opens them with Chrome.
I could disable Chrome, but I wonder if that might affect some functionality of the phone.

Go to Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Browser app​ and change that to Opera, if possible.

You can disable Chrome as it will NOT hurt anything. I disabled it on day one!

Thanks B. Diddy, that's what I did. It works when I open an URL from other apps, but not from Google Feed.

Just to be sure, in the Google app's menu under General, do you have "Open web pages in the app" toggled on?

That did the trick, now I don't need to disable Chrome, URLs open fine in Opera.
