I repair iPhones as an ARA at Best Buy on the weekends. You should see what some people do to their phones and expect them to be repaired. More times than not, we have to ship them out to Apple because what they think can be repaired is absolutely NOT repairable.

Well, no. It all depends on what diags tells you. We can repair most parts (cameras, speakers, battery, display, rear glass (15's only) and front cameras. If diags says full unit, then it goes to Apple. If it's obviously been sat on or damaged to the point of no return (left sitting on the roof of a car - 3 of those this year that I know of), then it goes to Apple.
