This instantly reminded me of one of my favourite Seinfeld episodes, The Dinner Party, where George is trying to get change for a hundred dollar bill. However, in this comedy the dialogue goes something like this:

BUYER: $1200 USD for a Pixel 9 Pro XL? I'm not paying that much for a Pixel phone.
GOOGLE: Why not?
BUYER: You got to give me more than that for $1200.
GOOGLE: Okay, a Pixel 9 Pro XL and a year of Google One AI Premium.
BUYER: That's not enough.
GOOGLE: Okay, a Pixel 9 Pro XL, a year of Google One AI Premium and 6 months of Fitbit Premium.

The buy a phone get a free watch is a much better deal. Free 6/12 months of a service I do not want is not enough to entice me to buy a phone plus I would have to remember to cancel or be charged.

I got $450 trade in for the Pro Max and $300 additional promotion for the $750 total

I ended up with the P8P and free watch which I sold
