I couldn't log in with the same password and PIN that I always use. So I had to factory reset twice. What do I do now to fix this horrible glitch? The PIN worked 5 times before after the tablet freeze up while trying to complete its last step of setup and then it wouldn't accept the PIN.

Welcome to Android Central forums. I just wanted to start by getting the information in order and asking a few questions.

It sounds like the PIN stopped working and you factory reset the device to fix it, or did the device factory reset itself after several failed attempts to unlock?

Did you try anything else, prior to the factory reset? Please describe what steps you took before factory resetting.

Why did you factory reset the device twice? Did something happen to force you to do a second reset, or where these days or weeks apart?

In the second half of your comment you mention the PIN working multiple times, and make it sound like you needed to do these unlocks during the set-up. Why did you need to unlock so many times? I ask because I'm not able to recall a reason for entering the PIN at all during set-up. If you're able to reset and set up the device, have you considered setting up the device skipping the create a PIN/password step? If possible I would try this to get into the tablet and look around for actionable items from the inside out. There isn't much we can do with a locked device.

Is the glitch you're referring to, that the PIN stopped working, that you're locked out of the tablet, that you can't get through the setup process?

Since the initial incident have you had the device unlocked or working at all?

Your post title asks, what to do after disabling all log-ins. Are you asking how to set-up the device without a PIN/Password? OR What would be the next step if you're not using a PIN/password, like what other steps should be taken for security?

First the Blackview Tab 50 wouldn't accept my password (after 100's of times of accepting it) so I factory reset. I don't think my son is smart enough or dumb enough to change the password when he forgets on other devices after solving it once. Then it after accepting the PIN several times then it stopped accepting it so I factory reset again. Very few opportunities for him to have done the second occurrence- he would need the password etc( which I only enter for him) to change the password. There is no automatic factory reset on this device. Is there anything that I can do to fix what is wrong with this device? If not is there any app to lock the device? I just need to stop my son using it without permission. I often previously deleted the password because there were situations like at a restaurant where I was happy for him to have free access.

You'd be surprised what kids can figure out or stumble across. I remember 2 times that my son totally blew me away. The first time was as a toddler, I gave him my feature phone to listen to kidz bop, and next thing I knew I had a bunch of new photos and videos. I finally had to give him the phone and have him do it while I watched to see how he was opening the camera. He found a shortcut I didn't even know existed. The second time he was a little older but I woke up to a notification from YouTube about a video I posted. He was 7, 8 maybe at most.

There is a lockscreen app that locks them into a play zone where you can pick items for them and it also generates things for them, it works off of their birthday so it's supposed to be age appropriate. If it's compatible with your device it's called Kids Mode.

The clue for my password for the PC is place and it is the name of our nearest station. He hasn't come close to breaking it. I even type almost in front of him.

Well let us know if Kids Mode works for you. Like I said it locks the device and only gives them access to the games and videos it supplies and whatever games and apps you permit.
