Anyone on AT&T having issues finding an option to turn off 5G? I don’t see it anywhere and searching the internet for a solution it seems lots of people also can’t find any option. My problem is when my phone try’s to switch from 4G to 5G there is a lag before it connects when I have no signal. I live in an area where 5G is weak but will try to connect sometimes and consequently I will have no signal for up to a few minutes or more. I’d like to shut it off completely and just leave it on 4G/LTE which has great speed and is very strong. I have AT&T, don’t know if anyone else on this network is having issues finding the off button for 5G. My pixel is unlocked.

I don't have a definitive answer, but I believe that carriers have some control over these settings. Seem to remember reading that these settings can differ on the same phone, depending on the carrier.

If you're finding others with this issue on the internet, it's pretty certain that ATT disabled the setting.

I wish I could test this out but my Att Esim is in my iPhone 17 pro max and to try to get it over to my pixel will be a project.

People on Verizon also seem to be having this problem. Some say that a number code inputted to the dialer fixes the issue. But only works with Verizon so I can’t check that out.
