Pixel Buds Pro firmware update

Just got an update today, after getting Android 14 yesterday on my Pixel 6. I'm now on version 5.9. It includes the conversation setting and hearing wellness setting, which I've set up. Conversation Detection is set up and appears to work really well..I start talking and it switches the buds to transportation mode and pauses what I'm listening to.

Can you set and stop a timer from the buds now or do you still need to have your phone handy?

You can use the buds to set and start a timer, but it sets it on the phone.

Do I still need to have the phone close by to stop the timer, that's my biggest issue with the buds believe it or not.

If it sets it on the phone. It stands to reason it would have to be in Bluetooth range. Unless you have WiFi or sim buds.

I have pixel buds, I tried it today and you still have to stop the timer from the phone
