Pixel coming to AT&T

Re: Pixel coming to AT&T.

Can't wait for AT&T bloatware and 8 months delays on OS upgrades.

That is not hyperbole. On the Samsung Galaxy S5, Lollipop (5.0) and Marshmallow (6.0) each trailed by 8 months on AT&T.

Re: Pixel coming to AT&T.

Feldon, 8 months delay to extensively test a ROM, or fast release of a ROM with bugs - your choice. TMobile already had to cancel a ROM release (I think it was one of the Lollipop releases) because someone found a bug a few hours before they were set to release it.

Re: Pixel coming to AT&T.

There is no reason to buy it from any carrier since Google offers financing. Just buy it from Google and get all of the benefits with none of the drawbacks...

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that people complain about exclusivity and then people complain when carriers get it?

No you are not alone.... The quoted post below is however 110% pure truth!

AT&T had iPhone exclusivity. It also got updates when Apple wanted to update it. Google chose to drop their pants on this deal.

Re: Pixel coming to AT&T.

The good thing about this is that hopefully features like HD Voice, wifi calling, etc. will work on the unlocked Pixels. That has been a problem for most other unlocked devises on AT&T.

I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 on AT&T and I do not have Visual Voicemail or Wifi calling. lol

When AT&T offered the Nexus it had no bloat and all updates came directly from Google. Reports are Verizon will be doing the same with Pixel and I'm sure AT&T will too.

UGH.

Nobody says anything about the tweets BEFORE that. The ones where I asked if i should say random things that I have no proof will happen.

I know two people employed by AT&T who have been trained on the Pixel, and have several people telling me that they expect it there by November 11. That's all.

Sorry dude.

I would rather finance with Google. Can't stand bloat.

If I've read right, when you get a Pixel from Google direct and put in a Verizon SIM, the "bloat" gets added. At least in their case though, its three apps that can be uninstalled, and at least one of them is useful to Verizon customers.

Same may be with AT&T at some point.
