Pixel Issues and Horrible Google Support

I don't know if I'd say that ! I had the exact same poor connectivity issues with mine even after being replaced and being on my third phone.

No connectivity issues with mine at all. In fact it seems to do better than my 6p in that department, as well as battery and camera. The best I ever got for Sit with my 6p was 3hrs 10 mins, and that was only a couple times over the year I had it as my daily driver. I've had my Pixel (not the XL either) and I've hit over 4hrs 3 times now with a considerably smaller battery. A smaller screen and lower resolution makes a difference, as I'm sure the 821 is better than the 810 was. I won't be able to reap the benefits of VR, but at this moment it's not a big priority for me.

Phone was sealed brand new and never used. Neither Google nor Verizon had any phones in stock and 3 times extended my ship date. I had 30 days to return the V20 so I had to do something...

I'm not saying that you shouldn't have gotten it, just that in many cases companies won't warranty anything not sold through official channels. I'd call back and see if they'll do what they did for mikef91 below, and definitely relay your previous experience. I'm sure they mainly want to make sure you send back the old one, but like any company there are always clueless and tactless employees someone saw fit to have deal with the public. At the very least I hope you took the survey they do after each call and let them know the kind of employee you dealt with. That's the only way to weed out the poor ones.

Wish it was made up. From Note 7 debacle to major issues with the XL I wasted 40 plus hours of my time. LOVED the Note 7 and wish I could have kept it. I assure you every word is true.

Agreed. Same here. And I'm getting a $13.55 per month credit on my bill.
+1 but I do have a little Bluetooth skipping issue when playing audio.. other than that I'm enjoying the pixel!

I do miss my M8 tho, mostly Sense UI!

Had a few issues to start with. But, they have been ironed out. Love my little pixelated baby.

So far, my Verizon (bought at Best Buy) Pixel XL has given me zero problems. I think I've only rebooted it when the OS got updated / a new security patch came out. So, what, four or five times since September? I only install stuff from the Play Store (although the Amazon app has permission, I haven't actually installed anything from them on this device). If you're having issues, by all means replace it, the stock OS and the stock device should just work, as they do for me.

Welp. Time to embrace Apple.
Feel free to do just that. However, whilst you're embracing Apple, do keep in mind that Apple has never produced an entirely trouble-free device, nor has any other manufacturer of any computerized electronic device. It's the nature of the beast.

My Pixel XL experience has been entirely trouble-free. That does not mean that everyone's Pixel XL experience will be trouble-free. The reverse is also true... just because someone has a problem with their phone or with customer service does not mean that everyone will have the same experience.

Very well said!

Your user profile picture avatar thing looks like the Google G.

Finally got a hold of an alleged Google Manager who told me his reps request to send me a replacement phone even if I gave them a credit card which they could charge in full if I did not return my broken Pixel, had been turned down three times. So... I said what if I pay in full for the replacement phone and then you credit me back once you receive the broken phone? He's going to send an email asking for the ok to do what seems to be a very simple solution but he needed to get approval from a higher level. So... hoping...

Good luck! Hope that solution works for you finally!
