Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about the current Nexus devices like my 5X getting the Pixel Launcher with the maintenance update next month.

I've been personally using it on my 5X for a few days, but I'd love to get it officially. Does anyone know Google's history with updating previous Nexus devices with new Google specific features?

Thanks, Ben

Where did you get it from? I'm using Nova Prime at the moment but wouldn't mind giving it a go.

My personal guess is that it will be like the Google Now launcher, it will only be included on the new Pixel phones but they will put it in the Play store for those that want to download it.

So I downloaded it on my Note 7 and it worked awesome. Same for my Edge 7. But then, all of the sudden today, it doesnt work. No apps show up when you pull up from below. Nothing. Zero apps. Suddenly they are gone.

So I delete the whole thing and reinstall and same thing. Nothing.

So disappointed. This is a great launcher.

From what I've heard the new launcher should be the default on Android 7.1 so, yes, current devices with Nougat should get the new launcher.

Any news on this? Will it be available to download via the Play store? Or we will have to upgrade to 7.1 to get it?

I sideloaded it and it's hmmm... an interesting redesign but Google Now doesn't work correctly with it yet.
