Pixel launcher suggested/recent apps on 10

Is this working for anyone? Usually when I search for an app or load an app that's not on my home screen it will move to the top section of the app drawer and recents page, since the update it hasn't worked that way. It's a bummer.

Mine finally moved one app into suggested. Maybe it just took time to start the suggestions

Not to hijack the thread but does anbody know how to turn off suggestions and recent apps in app drawer? I used to find the option on PIE but I don't see it anymore.

Long-press on the home screen, Home Settings->Suggestions
