Going out on a short limb here by guessing you cannot take advantage of the BF $240 offer on the pixel?
I picked up a 10 a few months ago on Swappa for less. probably even less there now with the recent price drops. I was very interested in the pixels and checked out both numerous times and at different stores. The XL was going to be to big for sure, but the 5"incher sounded good. The external sound system is important to me and the pixel is a complete fail IMO at this feature. The speaker is fine for hearing your incoming alerts, alarms and ringtones, also fine for speakerphone calls. I listened to a youtube music video with both and the pixel is low volume, tinny and distorted when full volume. The 10's speakers while not the best I've ever heard on a phone are very good and appreciated as I like to listen to soothing ocean wave sounds while falling asleep. Not to mention my personal tones sound so much better. The 10 shines here. Again personal preference as most people put less value on the external speakers and use head sets anyway while I do not. Everyone has their priorities when deciding on a purchase and I respect all of that. this said, security updates are not a critical part of my experience. The 10 will probably always be behind by a couple of months and that doesn't bother me like it bothers a lot of folks. Nougat will come to the 10 and MM is running so well on the 10 that missing not having Nougat is absolutely, for me, fine. I've seen it, played with it, and not that enamored by it, but that's just me. If the 10 your getting is an unlocked version then Nougat is rolling out today anyway for that unlocked 10. I find the 10 to be one of the smoothest phones I've ever used, no lagging IMO for what I demand of it. The LCD screen is superb. Polarized sunglasses while using in portrait mode can be an issue. that's a small gripe. Battery lasts me all day. Quick charge is nice for that rare quick boost needed.
If I was going for a pixel I'd be a tad concerned I'd get one of those connection issue devices, but I am on Verizon and that's where a lot of those seem to be. A fix is seemingly on the way so maybe a non issue. If money was an issue I'd def not get a full priced, over priced pixel. To me the value for the money is not there. The recent BF deals on the pixel may make that a better deal for sure.
Bottom line for me , I would not trade my 10 for a pixel. If I had no 10 as a comparison and needed a phone I'd get the pixel in a second.
The 10's camera is obviously not in the pixel category but the 10's cam is really quite good. If your priority is to be able to really rapid fire shoot then you'd be disappointed. The cam is quick enough and takes a good shot, that's all I require of a phone cam. Your needs may be different.
For some, the pixel being the latest and greatest is also a status symbol. That wears off fast tho and not something that figures in IMO. As for running pure Android, if you like the bright blaring white backgrounds to everything from folders to app drawers and icon backgrounds then you'd be in heaven. Not my cup of tea I prefer to put a little color into my experience. Change your folder background to a softer color and your not pure Android any more. Android in it's right out of the box factory fresh form is way over rated IMO. You can do this on the 10 if you wish. Sense is nice and sometimes I use it, but I rotate between launchers for a much fuller Android experience. Rambling now, been just my 2cents
