Pixel for me (if mine ever ships). Coming from an 6s plus. Don't want a monster phone anymore. I am behind a desk with a laptop or have my iPad 9.7 pro with me. No need for a monster phone.

Pixel (aka sailfish ) for me . I'm coming from a 6p/ N6 combo been using most of the year.I just wanted to get back to a smaller phone. The battery has lasted me all day so far .

I got the XL even though I prefer smaller phones coming from s6 edge . I've had it about 6 days and love the battery life but still feel it's slightly to big. I'm just concerned to go with reg pixel due to smaller battery but 1080p shouldn't hurt it that much. My s6 had about same battery as pixel and battery died all the time though that was QHD. My xl is amazing best phone I have had since my palm pre back in the day. Regular pixel owners hows your batteries!?

I've been a fan of large phones for awhile now, But after using the XL and how thick it is, I'm exchanging for a Pixel.

I don't watch movies or play games. I used to like big phones, but I now prefer smaller, one handed use phones. I took my old Moto x out of a draw and used it for a week. I loved how easy it was to use one handed and to carry around. So I'll be getting the Pixel if/when I get one.

I have the smaller Pixel, one day in right now and so far I'd say my battery life is decently better than my Nexus 5X was which was a similar size battery (and much slower processor and dimmer screen).

I'm pretty pleased so far, but not blown away. I've had it off the charger since 7 AM this morning and I've listened to podcasts over bluetooth for around 3 hours and then used the speaker for a half hour. I've also been using it fairly heavily for Facebook and then checking my WoW Companion App throughout the day. Currently I'm at 33% after 14 hours since charge and 2 hours 11 minutes screen on time.

I have 2 co-workers with XLs and had been wondering if I made the wrong choice by going smaller, but the XL is too tall and heavy for me. I really wish that the regular Pixel was 5.2" and poly carbonate more in line with the 5X but eh.... it is a great and fast phone. I am impressed with the camera so far, key tip is use touch to focus if you really want the picture to be sharp.

I went with the XL 32gb and very happy with my choice.

I was tossing up whether I should get the 128gb model, but I'm hoping with the unlimited photo storage, that the 32gb model is enough.

Went with the Pixel, going back to a smaller phone for personal use. Will use my 6p for work. Pixel arrived today. It's nice not feeling it in my pocket all day. The screen seems small even though it really isn't that small.

Same here. I missed my small phone. Coming from the Nexus 6p, the Pixel feels just lovely. I can now wear Levi's and sit down at the same time!
Having had that problem with a 6P I'd rather have the smaller phone any day. I'd be quite happy with an even thicker 5" Pixel for some extra battery. The height and width of phones is what I've always found inconvenient, not the thickness.

But the Samsung...oh wait; wrong thread. *DEVIL*

Going to get Pixel because the XL wont fit in her front pockets. She sorta liked the size but seemed more inclined to play with the Pixel so regular sized it is! Going to get the 128 because of her need to never delete anything...ever...for any reason. *roll eyes*

I got the XL. I went from a "normal" sized phone after I got rid of my Moto RAZR and switched to the Note 3. Then got the S6 Edge+. Even the XL feels a bit small at the moment, so going even smaller was out of the question.

Man, isn't the Samsung vs pixel war going on here is bad enough? OP, you starting a civil war now? Jk

I got a 32 gig quite black xl. So far loving the camera and battery life. 2 of the main problems I complained about the most on my 6P.

When did 5" become small?

I had used the Note 4, went to the 6S Plus, and then got the iPhone 7. Realized I had become accustomed to a larger screen and now have the iPhone 7 Plus. I do not think 5" is a small screen but after using a 5.5"+ sized screen for a few years you just become so accustomed to it that anything smaller feels very uncomfortable in your hands (at least for me). I tried to go back to a 4.7"+ screen sized phone but just could not do it. I missed the screen real estate and I just did not feel comfortable holding it. It is all personal preference but the 5" screen sizes are technically not small.

Perhaps 2015? Maybe late 2014?

I know I used to say I thought 4.7 was the best size. Then I had the 5X at 5.2" and I do think that is dang close to perfect. All the 5.5"+ phones I've tried are too big for me. I haven't had my hands on a OnePlus 3 or Galaxy S7 Edge though, they may be ok. I've just tried Pixel XL and iPhone 6+.

That being said my 4.5" and 4.7" phones had capactive buttons and the 5 and 5.2" phones I've used had onscreen buttons making them for the most part probably closer to that 4.5 and 4.7 of usable screen at most times with larger bezels effectively.

Also after all of this I do feel the 5" pixel is just a tad bit too small, more too small horizontally, making two handed typing in portrait very difficult and cramped and I have fingers that are on the thinner side.

5" version here. 128GB memory. I was more interested in memory than screen size. This is the first 5" phone for me in over 2 years and it really doesn't seem that much smaller than the S7 I had.

I have both. Bought the XL and got it last Friday - love it much more than the smaller one.
