I have set my photos from my Pixel 2 XL to upload directly to my OneDrive account. Regular shots upload flawlessly, but I have noticed that "portrait" shots are stored within their individual subfolders in the DCIM folder. Each of these subfolders is recognized as a "new photo location", and a request to add the new folder is generated.

Is there any way simply to "include subfolders" in the routine that runs this operation? Thanks for any suggestions

Does your One Drive app have `Storage` permission enabled?

I see the dedicated folder for `portrait` images in the DCIM folder, but those get uploaded to the same One Drive Camera Roll folder for me. No separate folder in One Drive and no permission request to add a new folder?

I haven't modified any app settings. I just enabled Camera upload when prompted after installing the One Drive app and signing in for the first time.

Yes, storage permission is there. I even tried deleting and then restoring the One Drive app : I am still being asked for permission to upload every single portrait folder...

I am not seeing a separate folder for "portraits" in the camera folder on my phone

Just grasping, but is your upload mode wifi only?

An images separate portrait subfolder isn't viewable in the Photos app, but I see it in other file managers (Air Droid in my case).

Yes, wifi only. I think the problem may be with one drive, not recognizing subfolders.

You can try chatting w/Microsoft support. I was skeptical, but they helped me resolve an issue with signing on to my MS acct on Android as an Exchange account and syncing contacts.
