Pixel/Pixel XL Drop?

So I may be the only one but....I have a tempered glass screen protector and a Speck presidio grip case on my 128GB Pixel. I dropped it this morning in my apartment on the lanoleum floor in the bathroom. Although I know that is not a very hard surface I still got nervous the back glass would break lol has anyone else had a drop that scared them? Only dropped it from about 1 foot but still lol

First week I had my phone using a Speck Presidio Clear case with the Zagg+ glass screen protector. Reached in my pocket at the grocery store to answer a call. Phone bounced off of the glass doors in the frozen food aisle, hit the floor and went sailing way down the aisle. Not a mark of damage anywhere. While that case did save it, that was the last time I used it. Purchased the Speck Presidio Grip case which is what I should have went with in the beginning. At the time I thought it would be cool to showcase the blue phone.

That case has to be one of, if not the worst cases Speck ever came out with. That thing is slicker then dog snot on a doorknob

Thats crazy! Glad your phone was fine. I am OCD. If I find a scratch or anything it drives me crazy. Luckily lanoleum is not hard and did nothing. Going to Best Buy today though to see what other cases they have. My Verizon store only had the Presidio Grip. Hoping to find something to showcase the device because I actually like the look lol

The Presidio grip is an awesome case! When I picked mine up, I noticed for the Motorola phones they had a "Grip model" that was clear. Not frosted, nor white. Really wish they had that available too but I like the black one. Also have a tech 21 which is awesome as well too but I got the white one and it makes the phone look too feminine for my tastes. Yes, luckily not a mark or scratch anyplace on the phone. I was almost afraid to walk down the aisle to retrieve it as I was sure I would not like the outcome.

BUT...... After all of that, My camera lens still doesn't rattle!!!!

I the same way. I've got mine in a Spigen Rugged Armor case with a Yootech tempered glass screen protector. No drops yet.

Started with the tech 21 case. My kid hit the ground HARD with my phone one day when the dog knocked it out of his hand.

Came out perfect! I couldn't stand how hard the buttons were to press so I switched to the presidio. Much better case.

Then I dropped my phone getting out of my car. Still no scratch! The presidio didn't have a mark either. These tough cases are a life saver! The Presidio case is amazing.

It's nice to know that even though some of these cases are pricey they actually do protect. Money well spent I'd say

Since I spend part of my job requires me to visit construction sites I may pick up an iBlasion case to ensure that I'm covered.

yes I dropped my Pixel the second day in. I usually don't drop phones and unfortunately the phone arrived before my case. Was putting it into my inside coat pocket and it fell to the floor. No cracked screen or anything. But the drop did leave a tiny dent on the lower left corner. Barely noticeable, but it can be seen if you really inspect the device. Word of warning, the pixel is a very slippery phone, so I advise against going without a case.

Also do you think Google would put up a squawk if I returned it with a tiny but noticeable ding? Thanks

RhinoShield CrashGuard bumper

Downsides are lack of scratch protection for back (though it has a lip) and buttons are a bit stiff to press. Doesn't work well with a back skin that folds around the sides (way too tight). But if those aren't major obstacles for you, it shows off the back of your phone, is very lightweight, and offers obscenely good drop protection.
