Pixel/Pixel XL --- Show us your photos!

Here's a side-by-side comparison with the blur effect. I've only used it a few times but it seems that if you know WHEN to use it and let it apply the automatic settings, then it actually does quite a nice job. It gets flaky when you try to add more blur effect on the affiliated slider but the automatic settings seems to be quite satisfactory for me.

A couple of wedding photos from last night. Straight from the camera.

As you know, weddings have terrible light inside and I'm very happy with the results!

Sorry to bore you with the pics haha

The most impressive was digitally zoomed while dancing.

I like the effect. I have not been using it to shoot people, now I will have to remember to try it.

How can anyone complain about these kinds of pics from a camera phone? Talk about capturing important moments "on the fly" with excellent quality! These are very nice.

Is it just me or do all the pictures in here appear to be a touch blurry?

Maybe you're used to seeing the usual over-sharpened, oversaturated results that most other phones generate. Yes, maybe a few of these could do with a touch more sharpening for small screens, but that's easy to do if needed and I'd rather it be that way because you can't "de-sharpen" photos

Two more pics using the lens blur effect. Again, if you know when to use it, it really does produce some very nice results.

Well done Pixel.
It would be nice, if you (anyone who posts photos) link them to flickr or you mention some details of the exif (eg HDR+ or not, ISO, shutter)

It looks stunning. Dynamic range, etc.
Can you post somehow, somewhere (eg flickr.com) the original?
(i am about to buy nexus 5X or 6P and i check if it worth waiting and pay for a Pixel or in still shots there isn't such an improvement over nexus phones which are significantly cheaper)

Sure. I did cheat on this one with a little edit in Google Photos. The horizon on the original was horrible, and I could not resist a couple tweaks when I was in straightening.

One think I noticed is there is a lot of information for editors to play with in the file. When I get a little time on my hands, hopefully over the holidays, I may have to pop a couple of favorites into Light Room to see just how much is there.

It's actually in between Simi Valley and San Fernando Valley, California.
The road is Box Canyon Road. 2 miles of twists and turns.
It's a fun drive.

This first picture is an example about how great the Pixel camera is. I was talking with my mother in law when I look over and see my kiddo playing in the grass, the way the light was hitting it, the contrast and the color was all like something out of movie. Within a few seconds my phone was out of my pocket and my camera had snapped this pic..

This is the only photo that really disappointed me so far, but to be fair its a really hard picture to capture. The statue is in the shade, and the sun was so extremely bright behind it bouncing off the memorial wall.

Looks like a nice, cozy neighborhood. If you're not careful, one of us might buy that house next door to you and you'll end up being a two Pixel neighborhood!

Here's one I took.
