Pixel Store shipping - signature required?

My previously shipped phones, usually from Verizon, all required a signature release, Fedex I think. Does the google store shipping require a signature release? If we don't get notified the same day it ships it may be hard to give Fedex an alternative address or give them directions to hold it at their center, which would delay getting it in my hand by another day (omg)

Last time I got a phone from Google, (Nexus 6P) ups just dropped it off. No signature required. I sent it to my job this time though. It'll be there by the time I get into work

They've never shipped with signature required from the Google store

Last year I got the pixel XL from Google. FedEx delivered no signature. Hoping for the same this year witjy pixel 2 XL.
