Pixel switching off for no reason

I've had my pixel for about 2 months. It's worked fine until the past week or so, during which time it has shut down suddenly and for no obvious reason twice. The screen just goes completely dead and it has to be restarted/switched back on with a long press on the power.

Has anyone else had this and is it a known problem?

Mine has been plagued with this problem for a month now. Happens a few times a week. It either goes into deep sleep and dies not wake up, or the screen just freezes. Hard restart with a long press on the power button has been the only solution so far.

I have not tried it but a factory reset could solve the problem.
