Pixel XL dialer got updated recently, no way to merge a call

My Pixel XL stock dialer got updated this past week. You no longer drag the green button, you just press it to answer a call. But the big issue, there is no way to make/merge calls for conference usage.

Report that, in Setup, using Feedback (in About Phone - scroll down). It will get to the right programming group.

Ok but reporting stuff to Google is the duration test of time before they fix anything. Is there another dialer I can install to merge calls?

It also removed the option to pre-screen calls. That was a really nice feature.

I have Phone version 31.0.241960258 and was able to screen a call earlier today. Of course - the spammer hung up when they realized that's what I was doing...

Ok problem solved, for some reason Contacts+ now requires itself to be the default phone app. I no longer can make calls using Contacts+ unless it's the default dialer. So that sucks!
