Pixel XL sold out? Buy an iPhone 7 Plus

I did. Pixel XL is on such a back order and I hate my existing GS7, so I had to get out from under it. Shame really, since the idea of a Google phone really enticed me. I guess Google will hopefully learn from this.

Because Apple devices have NEVER gone on backorder right after release? Sounds like you were looking for a reason to change to Apple.

I have a feeling demand WAY outstripped supply, as can happen with major product launches. Apple has CERTAINLY had supply issues in the past, I recall people having to wait several weeks for iPhones in the past. In fact, the iPhone 7+ is on a 3-8 WEEKS ship delay right now, according to Apple's web site, depending on color and capacity choices.

7plus's are shipping on 3-4 weeks. Exactly the same as the XL I just ordered so what exactly is the point of this post?

While I get it can be frustrating... if you went to buy an iPhone right around release time and you either didn't pre-order or ordered late you'd be in the same boat. Apple only has them in Stock so easily because it's been awhile since release. Google isn't doing anything different than Apple or Samsung.

Either way enjoy your iPhone. They aren't bad phones.. Just not my cup of tea. I'd rather have my android .

No thanks. And there are always issues around phone launches as Almeuit alluded to. Apple has limited colors available...Samsungs phones melt...etc etc.

This right here. It seems to happen with every iPhone release, it even happened with the SE.

Neither will the Pixel from the latest videos of sitting underwater for an hour. To be honest most phones are fine if in a puddle as long as they don't just sit in it. The toilet bowl thing I never understood .. I wouldn't ever have my phone over that since you .. well .. you know what goes in there.

Well, good for you, enjoy your iPhone 7 Plus then, I know everyone had their own choices, but personally I would wait for Pixel XL as I think it is much more worth for the wait.

I can get a 32 gb Pixel XL or a 128 gb iPhone 7+ right away.... or I can wait 1 month for a 128gb Pixel.....
