Android Central Question

Ok i have a question so one day i was bored so i decided to unlock my bootloader and put twrp recovery on my device everything was fine untell i tried to install magisk on the stock rom so when i flashed the magisk zip in recovery and tried to boot back up boot animation happened and everything then during the boot it just shut off and rebooted so i thought it was just like probably cant install magisk cause its the default stock rom so after that booted back into recovery i decided i would install a rom so watched a youtube video on how to install a rom onto the pixel did everything right so when i tried booting back into the system it just goes to the google logo shuts off and boots either back into the bootloader or the recovery i also tried going back to stock android im just so lost

Get the original ROM (at Google | Factory Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices - the February 5 updated version is there for Marlin, the XL), and start again. (If you have any apps, pictures, files you don't want to lose, delete the -w from the last fastboot line.)

You should be able to install TWRP (after booting the twrp-xxx.img file), then Magisk, with no problem. If Magisk isn't working on the Pixel XL, I'm sure Topjonwu will want to hear about it in a bug report. (I go through this process about half the time in installing an update, the other half, sideloading the update file - just to mix things up a bit. TWRP and Magisk have to be reinstalled for every factory ROM. [And I run Magisk Charging Switch to handle the battery better, and that has to be reset after every full ROM flash too.)
