Pixel2 outgoing calls not waking as well as incoming calls?

Pixel 2...Display is not showing on outgoing as well as incoming calls . How can it be fixed?

Is your hand / something blocking the proximity sensor? That most likely is the cause.

goto phone app in your Google store app and uninstall. this removes the latest update which was v15 ( don't worry it doesn't uninstall the entire phone, app just the latest update) your phone app will then work fine. or do I as did and sideload v16 of the phone app which is working fine.

if Google has a fix in the new phone app update why is it taking so long to post to the store.
I know I could sideload but this is ridiculous that they have a fix and refuse to release.

Mine automatically updated. That certainly appears to be a released version.

There's some strange business with application updates - someone else had an early January update to the Phone application but yet I was still stuck on the December build. I finally received that January 26th update and now it's not showing up for others. If it makes any difference I have a Verizon device (Pixel 2 XL).

I chatted with support today who insisted 15 was the most recent update. Though the rep couldn't understand how uninstalling 15 fixed the issue :/.
I haven't been impressed with Google support the 2 times I spoke to them. My Google WiFi has some stability problems so I wanted to get the new firmware to see if that fixed it before my 45 day return window was up. They told me they couldn't push a firmware and I just had to wait. guess if I don't have it by day 44 I will just return their product

FWIW I just saw a newer update to the Phone app - it's dated January 31st 2018.
Who knows what it fixes (or when you'll see it).

I powered off the device and turned back on. That was the only thing that worked for me. Restarting the device did nothing. At least in my case.

Do you have "auto update" turned ON?
I just checked my Google Phone app and it has automatically updated.
