Every video i take with the X is pixelated, especially those with fast motion in them - I'm trying to use V1 golf for android but the video is unusable. Any suggestions?

I've killed all apps running before hand. Might it be a slow SD card?

Thanks!

It says on. It is should say C2/C4/C6. Thats a big part of your issue if its lower, expecially a C2. I would recommend atleast a C6 or higher SD. Honestly an 8 or 10 might be worth it since you would be spending the extra money.

But there have been reports of everything from C2's to C6's being sent out. Depends on your card.

The phone can do the HD recording, the SD just cant handle it.

I tested the sd card that came with the X and its a class 6. So is the fascinates . Your video is pixelted because well the camera sucks. Im sure you already checked all your settings but it can't keep up with fast moving motions.

Cards that came with our DX are C2. I bought a C4 and C10 I use depending on what its in.

Look for a letter C with a number inside it. What does it say?

That is definitely part of your issue. C2 only supports SD recording values. It doesnt support HD recording. C4 and C6 do, however.

C10 (highest) are Full HD recording and HD consecutive Recording compatible.

If you are spending the extra money, Id say go 10, but they are expensive. But if you need HD capabilities, you will need to upgrade.

well even at the lowest resolution video, it still pixelates. thats why i wasnt thinking it wasnt the card. any cards out there people recommend?

Well, if you reduce the resolution, it will definitely be pixelated then, especially if you try to enlarge the video.

I use a Sandisk C4 and a Sandisk C10. Both 16GB Micro SDHC.

You can look on eBay, but a lot of the knock off chinese cards arent true to size or true class values.

False. My card is clearly a C4. it says so right on the card. Bought 9/7.

Ok, I should have said mine instead of our (I meant our as in me and the wife). If you look at my other post, I said they have shipped out with 2, 4, and 6.

Hmm. I didn't notice this. I was wondering why my quality wasn't as good as others. Mine came with a C2... gonna see if Verizon will do something about this, seeing as how others received a higher number.

Some have some havent. It has nothing to do with VZW, its Moto. Both me and my wife got C2. One of our friends received a 6. I guess it just depends on where they were made and shipped.

I know it was beyond Verizon's control, but I thought they could do something as far as a replacement with a higher card. They had no problem with that, but only found C2 so they transferred me to Motorola. They were willing to ship out a C6 card but only an 8GB one. I passed on that.
I'll just go buy one off eBay. Can you recommend any stores/sites with good prices?

EDIT:
Can you recommend a decent quality brand?

Amazon, Buy and New Egg have good prices on them. I kinda stay away from eBay because a lot of the cards on there are the chinese knock offs and even though they say 16GB or C6 etc, usually that are not. Especially the size; its usually off by about 4-6 GBs when you load it up. You can do eBay as long as it says SanDisk or Kingston, etc. Make sure there is a brand name.

If you must have a 16GB with a C6 or higher you will be paying $45-$90. You can get 8Gbs quite a bit cheaper ($28-$40).

If you just go class 4 (which supports HD Recording) you can get away about $28-$35 for a 16GB.

My local Walmart carries a Class 6 16GB for $44

To be honest, i had no idea this issue/discrepancy existed. It makes me wonder what the maximum I/O speed of the controller in the X is capable of, and if a class 6+ would show any speed improvement in gallery browsing. If one of you guys with a C2 card get an upgrade, test it out! it would be interesting to know. Also of note, it was very generous of moto to give us a free 16GB microSD card...
