Check to see which class it is. Also, would you mind sharing the video? Would like to compare quality.

It does exist and I have no loading or scrolling lag right now and I have my class 4 in. I had a race lastnight and did some recording. I will post a video here in a second of the racing

why would lower resolution video pixelated even more? that makes no sense. the volume of vide data is much lower than HD.

If you are playing an HD vid on a screen and then the same video in lower res on the same size screen, it will cause pixelation.

Yea, looks much clearer on my computer. Seems like photobucket dubbed it down. For some reason, photobucket shows the dirt and dust a lot more. It is much more clear straight off the phone though.

I got the same issues with video playback on everything except the phone itself, I shot a minute of my aquarium and was shocked at the awful vid once it got posted on you tube, YouTube - Tropheus Maswa Duboisi in Coachella
On the phone though it looks great! This was mentioned on reviews of the phone and seems to be the census that it pretty much has a bad camera/camcorder. Running a C4 scandisk card.

One last question and I'll stop buggin you :D
Is there a big (noticeable) difference in quality when you compare the C4 and C6? How about from C2 to the C4/C6?

LoL yeah the fireworks show didnt look as good over computer when I emailed myself the vid . Couldnt see that viewing on the phone just from link, but mine was the sd card vzw sent out with the phone.

Yeah but if you take it out and look at it, you'll see a "C" with a number inside of it.

Anything from a c2 will be a considerable difference. C2 cards don't support HD re ording at all. Between a C4 and C6. You probably wont be able to tell. But if you through a C10 in there is a difference. But if you have a C4 I wouldn't waste the money going to a 6. Pretty much same specs just a little bit more speed (6mbs compared to 4.5)

Thanx for all your input. Just had a few sources confirm everything that was said here, except they said there are no (known?) C8 cards.

C4 is the minimum required for HD recording and it looks like Moto screwed some people over by shipping C2 cards with the X, me being one of them
I had to order a C4 card (something I shouldn't have to do)

Thanx again for the help.

The 8MP CCD in the X does not perform well in low light. Try testing a video in very good lighting conditions. I don't think the H.264 encoder knows or cares what class the sdcard is, it is just going to encode and send it off to the sdcard. If the card can not store the data fast enough it should crash or severely corrupt the video.

Thanks for the info on the sdcards, I was wondering why I takes longer than I'm used to when transferring music, it was even slow using a card reader on the PC.

Mine is C4 btw

Hmm. I didn't notice this. I was wondering why my quality wasn't as good as others. Mine came with a C2... gonna see if Verizon will do something about this, seeing as how others received a higher number.

Mine had a C2 as well :o thats my luck to be one getting stuck with that class of card

UPDATE:

As I said before, Verizon was willing to help me out but couldn't find the right card. I called back today and talked to a tech rep who was able to find a 16GB C4 card and have it shipped overnight to me.
Its all covered under the warranty. If this works, I'll go ahead and cancel my previous order.

Just letting you guys know.
