Pixelbook skinned or naked?

I only transport my Pixelbook in a backpack (or my Solo Duane Briefcase/Backpack ) that has a separate padded slot for a laptop.

You have the padding built into the back pack, good move. Should I ever do any "traveling" with my Pixelbook, I'd get a sleeve for it. Not just for protection from scratches etc., but also for added grip. I have my Pixel 3 in a case for these very reasons.

Appreciate all your Pixelbook info JeepMan.

That Solo Duane is my "overnight" gearbag of sorts. I also use this sleeve.

I was never a fan of sleeves until I found that one. The retractable handle made all the difference.

Thanks! There's so much that the Pixelbook can do, and the mainstream tech media doesn't "get it", so we're only going to get support and encouragement from among ourselves. :)

Along with applying a matte screen protector, I decided to apply a skin.

I love the combination of glass, aluminum, and wood. It definitely has a mid-century vibe to it (and maybe mid'1970's electronics as well) :D

Since I tend to be a wee bit clutzy at times, I've been looking at this case. Maybe by the time they get it back in stock my mind will be made up.

If only Google would hire at least one person who actually knew how to sell stuff and keep items that do sell in stock. I'm hoping this case will come back in stock soon, too. Or better yet just show up on Amazon.

I agree the Google supply chain is not always at peak performance, but in the case of the Tech 21 Pixelbook case, I'm not sure it is Google's fault.

If you go to their site, the case is listed, but there is no way to purchase it. At least I couldn't find one.
I sent a email to Tech21 and got a reply stating they were backed up and would answer my questions as soon as they could. Yesterday I got another email stating the same thing.

I have seen a couple of reviews of the case, but no place to purchase it.

Needs an 8-track tape slot.:p

Mine came with the 8 track slot - it is standard on all Pixelbooks bought by old people -

Are there any skins that aid in the "grippiness" of the PB?
Like P3 phone, I find the PB to be on the "slippery to hold" side.

That looks great ??????

Thanks! That is actually nothing more than woodgrain Con-Tact paper. I've found that it doesn't harm the surface, is easy to apply, easy to remove, easy to trim.... and super inexpensive. That's about $0.25 worth of what is on the roll.

I use clear Con-Tact paper for the backs of my tablets since I don't like/need full case protection... just some sort of smartcover.
