Placing a .pdf on my home screen?

Curious... is there some way to save a .pdf file directly to my home screen? That way I just click the icon and it opens up?... like how on a computer you drag it to the desktop?

Only if your launcher supports adding file links or if you add a widget that can do that.

I thought about doing that but for things like event tickets, discount coupons with bar codes... doesn't it have to be the original .pdf form?

You can use a file explorer and add the shortcut on your home screen. You could try with FX, Total Commander or Solid.

This seems like something Google could easily implement in to the OS though.
