For months now, the Play Store has been screwed up. Each morning,, I check for updates. Apps that show up as being needed to be updated, has already been updated. It's very annoying. Does anyone else have this problem?

I see that all the time. I assume it's because the app is updated soon after the previous update. I don't sweat it.

It could be an outdated notification -- by the time you tap it, the Play Store may have already updated those apps automatically.

The other thing to check is to see if the notification is actually telling you which apps have just been updated, rather than have updates available. That sometimes confuses me as well.

Clear cache and force stop the Play store app. Reboot and see if it still happens

Explain your process please, what you do from seeing apps needing to be updated to knowing they are updated already. Where are you seeing these things and what are you doing exactly.

Each morning. I check MANAGE APPS. I get UPDATES AVAILABLE and a list of apps that need updating. Sometimes I get a list of 11 apps that claim to needed to update. When I click on the app, I see that the last update was performed 2 or 3 days earlier. There are only 2 or 3 that are needing to be updated. I'll try the suggestion about cleaning the cache and post the result.
Obviously, this is not a major problem but it is annoying.

If you're manually checking and updating your apps daily, turn off automatic updates in the play store settings, that's your problem ;)

I just turned off auto update. The reason I manually check is that I want to see what's being changed.

I manually check on my 3XL as well, for the same reasons you do ;) Turning off automatic updates should (hopefully) fix the problem :)
